Covered Bridge Minis // Senior Edition

We had a few of our senior spokesmodels come out for covered bridge minis. We had a blast out here. Red Oak Covered Bridge is one of my personal favorite locations. Fun fact - This bridge was filmed in the movie Lawless that came out in 2012.

Senior Portraits

Summer Edition

Senior year is so exciting! It’s your last year in that school and then you’re on your way to the next chapter in your life. My goal for your senior portraits is to showcase “you” in your photos. You don’t have to be a cheerleader, a football player, or on the baseball team to have a customized senior portrait session.

Do you play an instrument? Do you like to skateboard, ride horses, or workout? Do you like to go shopping? Do you live on a farm and LOVE the farm-life? GREAT! We can incorporate any of those things into your session. Senior portraits are about YOU and your interests and personality should shine through your images.

Destiney Ford Photography books senior portraits for high school and college seniors year-round. There are so many gorgeous locations to choose from. Some seniors prefer the cold so we schedule their sessions in December-February. Some like the look of autumn colors so we schedule around October-November. Then there are seniors like Miss Emily that choose spring/summer for the warm weather. Not to mention, you can wear these super cute sundresses and rompers!

Lifestyle Mommy and Me Session ll Downtown Carrollton, GA

Mims-9.jpg

Hey guys!

I am so sorry for the lack of blogs lately! I PROMISE I am going to make these more frequently. I’m starting 2020 out with one of my favorite Mommy & Me sessions to date. These girls ROCKED their session. Take a look.

So

Cute!!

Mom hugs are the best.

These images were taken downtown in the small city of Carrollton, Georgia. Carrollton is located just southwest of Atlanta. There is just something so mesmerizing about downtown. I don’t know if it’s the southern charm or the modern-chic vibe the square gives, but I am absolutely captivated by this background.

I love the building that is showcased in the image above. It’s GORGEOUS! But that’s not the only thing making this image pop. The sweet interaction between family members is what I LIVE for! Sure, we’ll get those posed shots out of the way but I want you to engage with your loved ones. There is nothing sweeter than looking back at a picture that displays your admiration.

Also, take a look at their wardrobe choices. I cannot stress wardrobe enough. My editing style looks best with dressier attire. I highly recommend dressy or dressy-casual for a session with Destiney Ford Photography. If you wouldn’t consider it your Sunday best, I wouldn’t recommend that outfit for your session. Hoodies, sneakers, sunglasses, baseball caps, blue jeans are all on my “avoid” list.

Another key to outfit choices — Coordinate but don’t be too “matchy”. Take a look at mom and daughter up there. Mom is wearing a beautiful tea;-green dress with an orange floral print. She has baby girl dressed in an orange corduroy dress. The daughter’s dress compliment’s mom’s dress. Having the different textures also makes your images look more interesting. I always recommend multiple textures - lace, corduroy, cotton, etc . Then layer that textured outfit in a different material - jacket, scarf, etc. Accessories are just as important as your outfit. They add more detail to your images.
